Mornings (8.00 am to 12.00 pm) are dedicated to traditional classroom instruction to hone skills in spoken English especially. The didactic method is student centered and the teacher uses a range of teaching materials collected from years of experience at the Wall Street English School, including: dialogues, role plays, games, cue cards, and audio and video equipment, in order to teach practical grammar and vocabulary.
Detailed language syllabuses can be provided upon request according to the level of the student.
Lunch break at the school
Afternoons are dedicated to extracurricular activities that help the kids improve their language skills while engaging in fun activities, such as:
- Sports. The children can choose to practice popular British sports, like punting, during their free time. This offers the chance for Chinese campers to train alongside British kids while improving their English. Sport activities are organized by the University of Oxford.
- Culture classes. The students will have the opportunity to learn about British and European culture in a fun way, e.g. Western calligraphy classes or Shakespearean Poetry workshops.
- City Tours. Students will learn about the history and culture of the UK and Europe through trips to local places of historical importance, like museums, or they can take part in fun tours on different topics, like ghost tours Harry Potter tours, Alice and Wonderland tours and so on.
Weekends are usually dedicated to short fieldtrips outside Oxford and London. We arrange organized tours to cities like Bath or Bristol.
